Didn't work with Polar S610i heart rate watch [Posted on 2008-02-15] I bought this for use with my Polar 610i heart rate monitor watch I bought a few years ago. Couldn't get it working under Windows XP or Vista with my watch. From what I could find searching google after the fact, there appears to be something incompatible about the IR chipset in this unit.
Amazon was great with the return. Bought the more expensive Polar 2006 (2.0) irUSB unit and that worked fine for me.
Solid Performer [Posted on 2008-02-29] I bought this for use with a Polar F55 heart rate monitor after my second Polar brand IrDA device failed after only one use. This little unit was truly plug and play, worked the first time and every time since AND was half the price of the Polar unit. With that said, it is still a bit expensive for what it is, so only 4 stars.
Works perfectly [Posted on 2008-04-21] This device is nothing fancy, but it works perfectly. It is simple and does the trick.
Painless installation; works perfect with Polar F55 [Posted on 2008-05-18] Plugged it in to my USB1/ XP computer, and it worked immediately without the CD. Works perfectly with my Polar F55 heartmonitor watch. The cable is a must for aiming toward the watch. Takes only about 20 seconds for full download from the watch.
Alternative for Uwatec/ScubaPro infrared adapter [Posted on 2008-08-11] I bought this IrDA based on a review from a scuba diving website. It works as an alternative for the $100 model that Uwatec/ScubaPro offers for their Aladdin three gauge computer console. It installed quickly and easily on my computer. I'm not the most computer savvy person, but still could get this installed and working correctly. This is worth the money to download dives from the Uwatec/ScubaPro computer.
