awesome gaming pad [Posted on 2008-09-29] The smooth surface doesn't work with my Razer Diamondback 3G laser mouse, but I prefer the rough side anyways. As a previous reviewer stated, the rough side is actually not that rough so don't worry about toughening your palm. This pad comes with 5 mouse feet that reduce friction a little. The only thing that sucks for me is that my desk isn't exactly huge so this thing takes up a considerable amount of space. If you're a gamer looking for a smaller mousepad, take a look at the Steelseries QcK and QcK Mini, although both of those are made of cloth.
Mouse Pad [Posted on 2008-10-25] I have used many mouse pads over the years and now that I have purchased a Razor Copperhead Mouse, I have switched from old cloth mousepads to reactionary and slick mousepads such as this one.
This mousepad has exceeded my expectations in that my mouse has had 0 skips, 0 traces off of course and 0 stickyness while gaming. The smootheness along with the glide enhancement from my mouse makes my gaming experience much more enjoyable but also increased my frags!
I highly recommend this product!
Great Mouse Pad! [Posted on 2008-11-02] Great pad...and is 2 sided so if one side isn't your cup of tea the other side is sure to be. Comes with slider feet for your mouse to make sure you have a good slider surface.
Definitely won't go back to a different mousepad because this one is the best.
Design meets function [Posted on 2008-11-04] The cost of this mouse pad is a bit more than others, but in this case you really do get what you pay for. I have several laser mice and I've used them on different brands and styles of lower cost mouse pads. Some worked better than others but none compare with either side of the 4D for responsiveness, accuracy and ease of glide. I would never have guessed that a simple accessory that is as well designed and functional as this could make such a difference that I'd want to recommend it to others. Bottom line, if your looking for a great mouse pad, spend a little extra and your search stops here.
Best Mouse Pad EVER! [Posted on 2008-11-11] I have chronic wrist problems, and the weight and ease of tracking on a mouse are of vital importance to me. After reading reviews, I decided to try this mouse pad knowing that it was double sided. Turns out the "rough" side is best for my mouse, and with the little feet added my mouse literally flies over this surface. There is absolutely no drag, and the larger size pad means I don't have to lift and reposition the mouse constantly. It's big but not HUGE, so should fit on any normal work space. This company had better not go out of business, as it is now THE ONLY mouse pad I will ever buy again. The rubber mat it sits on does not slip at all, and the pad does not slip on the mat. An absolutely brilliant design!
