This box was the solution I was looking for for my constantly growing CD collection.
It is a snap (pun-intended) to put together and stores easily on a shelf.
My CDs are kept in plastic sleeves instead of jewel cases, so I can fit hundreds(!) in one box. I recommend replacing all those bulky, fragile jewel cases with sleeves like the one Pro-Logic sells then file them alphabetically. Neat and attractive, an ideal solution to your cd storage needs.

The box gets the job done as far as holding your CD's. It will actually hold a more than 60 jewel cased discs, around 64. The cover material is more like a kind of sticker that has been placed over the cardboard sides to make it look presentable. The click together sides will stay but the buttons will unlock if bumped mildly. It's not quite a shoe box and not even close to a solid case; however if you're looking for something to store those extra CD's in I guess you could buy this.

Lids don't quite fit tightly so that threw off the measurements. Had to return since they wouldn't fit in the space I wanted to use them! Snaps weren't very strong either. Would not recommend for frequent handling.

A GOOD WAY TO STORE CD'S [Posted on 2008-04-07]
I had about a hundred or more CD's strewn on my living room rug in fron tof my CD player. I thought about my options: 1) Leave the CD's on the floor and let people step all over them, 2) Throw them away, 3) Buy a big rack to put them in, 4) By these boxes. I decided to try the boxes. I now have most of my CD's IN the boxes and the boxes put in the corner of the room. This seems to be one of the better ways to deal with all those little CD plastic boxes. Yes, there is a slight smell of rubber that comes from them. But, the smell isn't apparent unless you're sniffing VERY close to the boxes. This is the right size one that takes TWO ROWS of CD's..the other smaller one is only good for ONE ROW of CD's....so I suggest you buy this larger size. boland7214@aol

Perfect for DVDs/CDs [Posted on 2008-05-03]
Loved the item. It was perfect for my DVDs/CDs. It even had room for category dividers which I made. The only problem was that the center divider, while it had snaps on both ends, could only be snapped on one end if you wanted it to fit perfectly in the middle. Even with this flaw, I was still very happy with the item.
