Customer Reviews:

Not too Shabby. [Posted on 2006-07-31]
This album is easily recommendable to anyone who either enjoys covers or indie rock. If you see one band you enjoy on the track list, there's a good probabability you will enjoy the entire album. It is a good break from the norm. Maybe not for everyone, but it is worth a shot. Very cool.

Rockin [Posted on 2006-11-17]
Except for the inane Flaming Lips song, this album is great. Rose Hill Drive's version of Johnny Kidd and the Pirates' "Shakin' All Over" is the hardest rocker on there, a definite departure from the original. "Mr Sandman" is a must-hear, also harder than the original but totally groovy. The Cake song is also awesome as is the Walkmen cover. You will not regret getting this disc.

Half of the songs were worthless, could not be listened to again.

i want to be a zombie [Posted on 2007-05-10]
Wow, it's amazing what you'll find in clearance bins at record stores. I was browsing cds yesterday and came across this soundtrack. I'm a fan of oldies and when I saw the titles that were being covered, by the bands that were covering them, I knew I had to pick this up. This is easily one of the best cover albums I've heard. My favorite tracks are Lollipop, My Boyfriend's Back, Mr. Sandman, and Tears on My Pillow. I've never even heard of the video game but now I want to play it! Buy this if you're a fan of classic 50's & 60's or indie rock. Plus, you know this has to be good if it's put out by SHOUT factory. They released my beloved Freaks & Geeks dvd boxed set :)

Great Companion to a Fun Game [Posted on 2008-07-21]
So, the CD itself is amazing. A couple of misses as far as tracks go ("Everyday" comes to mind, although "Shakin' All Over" and even "There Goes My Baby" have grown on me), but it's still a great cover album if you're looking to introduce yourself to some 50s/60s music (except for the last track, which I believe is an original work).

I loved watching my friend play the game, and the music actually fits well with it. I, for one, am glad that the soundtrack was released separately!
