Better than I thought [Posted on 2002-09-30] I have owned this organizer wallet now for a month and it is the best thing I have purchased for my handheld so far. Upon opening it, I was surprised at the quality of the leather for the cost, very nice. I own a Sony Clie T615 and it is perfect for it. I read about the battery drain problem in other reviews and left the original cover on my Sony when I placed it in the wallet. No problems in that area at all. I also purchased the platinum pen/stylus and it fits perfectly where the extra batteries are to be held. The velcro holder is small enough where I can still hotsync and it firmly holds the Clie in place. One more GREAT thing it still keeps it small enough to go in my purse. LOVE it and highly recommend it to all Sony Clie T615 users. I have only put a couple of cards in the wallet but I can tell you will not be able to stuff it with papers/cards, etc, there should be no need. If you are looking for something to protect your Clie, this is it.
Not as handy as you might think... [Posted on 2002-12-03] I ordered this because I needed to reduce the contents of my purse and I *thought* this would be a nice way to combine my wallet contents and my Visor, and reduce fumbling when I'm trying to enter info into Quicken while checking out at the store, noting return dates for video rentals, etc... HOWEVER... The space allowed for credit cards and cash in this is minimal. If you carry more than 3 credit cards and a driver's license, forget about it. It needs to be thicker (or expandable?), and the leather isn't quite as nice as I expected.
List of Compatable PDA's [Posted on 2003-11-11] It is somewhat missleading when it just says "compatible with most PDA's". Why can't you just list the ones it is compatible with so I won't disappointed when I get it. Otherwise seems to be a nice Wallet; considering cost.
Protection rather than accessibility. [Posted on 2003-12-02] I bought my Sumdex for my iPAQ h2215. It actually is a little larger than my iPAQ needs it to be. The quality of the product is good, nice feel to the leather, zip works well and doesn't catch at all. However, the belt loop is rather impractical as once you've velcro-ed your PDA or Palm to the inside of the case, you can't remove it easily if you attach it to your belt. The velcro loop does pull off, however, this worried me as it makes it easier for someone to snatch (and that's a lot of money to be carrying around my waist). Inside the Sumdex, the spare battery loops are not needed for the iPAQ, so I use the loops to hold my pen, or you could use it for a stylus. Once the iPAQ is attached to the inside of the Sumdex, it's a little difficult to extract the stylus, so the loops could prove useful. The credit card holder is pretty useless as it holds so few cards. I've replaced it with another holder that takes more cards. However, the end result is the Sumdex is pretty bulky; a good inch and a half in width. The Sumdex is great if you like to carry it in your hand or pop it into another bag/briefcase or large pocket. But if you bought your PDA/Palm for your pocket, this isn't the case for you. Overall, I like it as I tend to drop things out of my shirt/coat pockets (my cell phone will testify to this!). So for me, the Sumdex offers good protection and doubles as a useful pen and credit/business card holder (and let's face it, you always need more credit card space!).
A product worth 6 Stars! [Posted on 2004-04-15] Chances are, if you are reading this review, you are looking to see if this is the case for your PDA. I say it is! I have a Palm Zire Handheld, and was worried that the [EXTREMELY] flimsy plastic flip top would not protect the screen from scratches. I shopped for a good case that was small, had a wallet, inexpensive, and would protect my Zire. This is great on all counts! I got it on sale here on Amazon.com for about ten dollars.
This case has: All leather construction A couple of elastic loops for batteries (which I use for a pen, since my Zire is rechargeable) Velcro to hold your PDA in place Pockets for cash, credit cards, buisness cards, memory cards, etc. (One large and two small) Zipper Closure
On the box it came in, it shows a list of PDAs that it will most definitely fit (and any other one that you may have will most likely fit). Here is what is guaranteed to fit: Palm Zire Palm Zire 21 Palm Zire 71 Palm Tungsten C Sony NX series Sony TG50 Visor Platinum IPaq h1900 Series IPaq h3900 Series IPaq h5400 Series Toshiba e750 Dell Axium ViewSonic V35 My favorite part? The ease of getting to the charger. My Zire has the charger cable and Mini USB ports on top, so I just move the zipper a little and plug it in!
I hope this helps you!
