Super Nintendo: Gray Box of Perfection [Posted on 2008-05-18] You buy this system and some good games and you can't be dissapointed. The SNES was incredible in its day in the 90's but still is incredible. Nintendo's heroes finally emerged in vast adventures never seen before and their pure fun and inventiveness is still considerable to this date. Explore the futuristic caverns of Super Metroid, fly across the countryside on Yoshi's back in Super Mario World, claim the Master Sword in Legend of Zelda, a Link to the Past, take RPG gaming to the max with the Final Fantasy games and Chrono Trigger, or battle in the violent worlds of Street Fighter 2 Turbo or the Mortal Kombat series. The Super Nintendo is a perfect mix of fun and innovation with excellently simple yet potetentially complex controls that have been used in predecessors of the system. Don't even hesiitate to buy one of these gray boxes. Nintendo custom fit the system for EVERYBODY, not just little kids or hardcore gamers.
Outstanding SNES [Posted on 2008-06-09] Anybody that knows about nintendo, from way back in the day, already knows how good an entertainment system is supposed to be.

I played this system years ago and now began playing it again and loved it!!!!!!!!! This Is The Console I've Come Back To. [Posted on 2008-06-15] I had a Super Nintendo when it first came out and it was a fantastic system. I've gone through all of the consoles up to the Wii and PS3.
I bought a Wii and realized the games were for 8 year olds or families so I sent it back.
Then had a PS3 and noticed it was mostly First Person Shooter games which gets old very soon. plus feeling like I'm a captive of the great Sony corp with them checking for upgrades and also the games are $60 a piece is stupid. I returned that.
So I kept my PS2 which I like but I started looking into retro players and remembered the fun I had on Super Nintendo so I looked for one and got one in new condition for 60 bucks! all of the games are only around $10 bucks at the most. The games were fun back then and the emphasis was not on frame rate or dpi it was on challenge and fun. I've bought: Mario All Stars, Metroid, Donkey Kong Country, Donkey Kong Country 2, Lost Vikings to start and those totaled up to the price of a PS3 game. One thing that is a must if you have a HDTV player is to get a S-Video Cable. Another thing I bought is NEX Gen wireless controllers for the SNES but make sure they are made for the SNES not their the NEX Gen Console.
I love my new (old) SNES and feel this is one of the best buying decisions I've made to date.
instant rewind [Posted on 2008-07-14] lot of fun from the past. My 12yr old loves playing it, as much as I did when I bought it when it first came out.
