Although there is no driver for the hi-def sound on a Mac, you simply select the usb speakers from your system pane, and walla---everytime you connect the speaker, mac automatically switches over. The sound is quite impressive, high and lows with great bass. Even works great with a 10 port USB switch. THE ONLY DOWNFALL is when you connect the speaker you hear a mid level thud when it powers up. Gets annoying, but for the price and performance, something you can live with.

These are perfect speakers for a laptop, amazing sound and power. Works on Mac, Windoz and Linux too!! Just plug it in and wait for the machine to detect and they are good to use. The bass is not that heavy but good for the size.

Ideal for connecting to the laptop and watching movies on the bed, or in the car, good for presentations also.

Good to have: volume control on it :) But what the heck, still give it 5 stars for the sound. (Does not crack at high volumes)

This is a terrific product. All you do is plug it in to the USB port and it turns on. The sound is excellent for such a tiny system. I like it because it easily fits right into my computer softcarry bag. It's tough too. It's been dropped a couple times onto tile without any change in it's appearance or sound. Very impressive.

Great sound from a low priced, extremely portable system. I was amazed at the quality of the sound as I have had more expensive speakers that the Tritton compares favorably with. Very portable and durable. Am buying these for gifts and recommend them to anyone who needs portable speakers for their notebook.

This is an amazing product. Well ahead of the others in its class. I believe it to be one of the single best speaker systems for laptops that is availabe. I may just purchase a couple more to spread around the office.
