ohhhh..... [Posted on 2008-07-13] it works, but i havent found a ghost yet with it, but i know that it does detect electro magnetic frequencies, cuz it gets my fridge, magnets, and when i set it on my phone, it'll go off crazy, then 4 seconds later, my phone says that i got a message. sweet eh? so it measures phone activities.
No Human Spirits Yet, But... [Posted on 2008-08-02] It works great and is ergonomically compfortable to hold. My TV spiked it up to 5. So its fun to watch it light up and buzz when that happens. Next I took it into the kitchen. All the appliences affect it all right. Then I took it into our bedroom and it was completely flat. No reaction, nothing happening there, so I know its working perfectly!
Fun Ghost Hunting Gadget [Posted on 2008-09-10] Well obviously this is a colorful EMF meter, and not a very technically advanced one at that. But it's a lot of fun, and children go crazy over it when you say, "THIS IS A GHOST DETECTOR," which makes it worth it! It works quite well, but the needle instead of a digital display is a bit shaky and doesn't give precise readings . . . if you are serious about Ghost Detecting or even finding out EMF readings for equipment in your home, I would recommend finding something with a digital disply more better accuracy. But just for fun, this is an affordable introduction to Ghost Detecting, and the product looks great and is light-weight and portable.
Works like a charm! [Posted on 2008-10-02] This works really well for it picked up the Ghost of The Blue Lord Rocca In Quincy, CA!!
Works Great! [Posted on 2008-11-06] This is a very functional tool for detecting electromagnetic interference. I tested it by placing it near an electrical closet in my building. I was always suspicious about spending too much time in the area of the closet. The needle went off the scale!
Speaking of the scale, I would like to know what the 0-5 milligauss scale represents. I know there are digital EMF detectors that have a scale from 0-100+.
I wish the bottom of the device were flat so that it could stand up vertically on its own. The sensor seems to be on the back of the device, seemingly necessitating hand-held operation in a vertical postion. Laying it flat on a table doesn't seem to work as well. This is not a terribly big deal, but it would be nice if these changes were made.
Overall, this is a great practical tool, fun to use from the ghost hunting perspective, and very inexpensive compared to digtal models.
