Very Enjoyable Game, & is for everyone !!! [Posted on 2007-12-23] The game is a bit slow, but otherwise very nice.
Good amount of action.
It is a great game for the whole family to enjoy.
maybe good for playstaion 1? not for 3 [Posted on 2008-04-26] The makers should be ashamed to have all this advanced techonolgy and put out a game like this!
A fun experience! [Posted on 2008-06-03] I like this game from the start. It is so action packed throughout the story. I never watched the movie, but I am sure this is more fun than just sitting there and watching. You get to explore a lot of different places in this game. If you are good with exploration, you can unlock secrets. The alethiometer allows you to unlock detailed descriptions about the story. The more questions you unlock, the more rewards you get. The game is not difficult but fun. Although the camera angles and graphics are not the best, I still like this game very much!
Fun game [Posted on 2008-07-14] I love this game. As some other reviewers said the graphics are not up to PS3 standard, but that works well for me because i have 3D motion sickness. It is somewhat easy, but fun.
The game is in the form of story and the story unveils as you complete tasks. Am i satisfied with this purchase? very much so.
Not a disappointment, it's what would be expected.... [Posted on 2008-07-31] This game makes no assumptions, nor does it deviate from the plethora of movie adaption games before it. I should say that the PS3 version is quite pleasant as far as graphics go; although I have not played any other version.
As for the critics, I felt this game was quite good; albeit typical. The real thing you need to ask yourself before purchasing, or playing, this is whether or not you wish to be Lyra and Lorek racing through the great northlands. If this game does one thing right it is that it truly does let yuou play the characthers. Like most movie from book adaptions or not, the real lure here is simple; where else can you be Lyra Belacqua and Lorek Byrnison?...nowhere. So if you are looking for a unique experience, perhaps in the story as the movie displayed it, then this is the only place your going to find such an experience.
If yout looking for a game that breaks the mold and leaves you breathless with it's graphics, then you've come to the wrong place. The graphics are not a problem, as they are quite nice. The characters and settings are all true in form, again this game is for those that want to play the adventure as much as watch it, nuff said.
