Best Case in the World [Posted on 2005-07-01] I've been building my own PC's for over 15 years. This is the BEST case I've ever owned, I've owned antec, cooler master, silverstone, MGE, and several others. This case design thought of EVERYTHING. I love the fact that you can get this case in Aluminum and Steel. I prefer the strength of a steel case over the overrated cooling (which is yet to be proven) of an aluminum case. The best feature is the OPTION for screwless drive bays that you can also SCREW down. I hate those rail systems for screwless device bays that most cases have, this is truly and ingenius design and Thermaltake has won me over, I've started trying other thermaltake products because of this case. Things I love about this case are:
-Screwless drive bays with the OPTION to use screws!!! YAE!!!
-the entire front is bays, bays, Bays! 11 total!
-Drive cages inside for 6 additional hard drives!
-PLENTY OF ROOM inside!
-power supply mounts vertically! again Genius!!
-Beautiful Black shiny finish.
-STURDY , HEAVY case! with SILENT Fans!
-PreDrilled holes for watercooling if you need it!
Can't think of anything at all that I don't like about this case. It really is fantastic!
Great case for the price [Posted on 2006-02-01] It would have been perfect with some anti-vibration features, but otherwise the case is very solid and easy to work with. The 11 bays make it easy to do anything, I have 3 burners, 3 SATA drives in RAID Hot Swap bays, and a Sound Blaster X-Fi Platinum and still have room for a 120mm fan in the front, its huge. Very impressed.
Excellent Case [Posted on 2006-05-04] I love this case, it's HUGE and gives you plenty of room to expand and work on your computer. The 120mm fans in the front and back light up blue and have a fan speed controller connection. The picture doesn't show this but it has a plexiglass side, which of course looks great.
If you're even considering buying a 160.00 case then I'm sure you have done some research. I know I did and I couldn't find anything negative about this case. Now that I have it I can defiantly say that it is worth the money.
Great case BUT can be improved [Posted on 2007-04-28] This case provides excellent airflow but there are some additional ways to improve this. The unit comes with one blue lit 12cm fan drive caddy with three bays and I added a second unit. You can also add a side panel with a 25cm fan - more blue light bling too! The back of the case is the holdback and to improve that I suggest that you use a Dremmel to cut out the airflow restricting punched holes and install a metal wire fan grill in its place for both the 12cm and Power Supply fans. Make sure that you MEASURE where the grill mounting holes are going BEFORE you cut so you dont make the holes too large. Even with all these fans the case is still very quiet and a standout performer at Lan parties!
doug [Posted on 2008-09-08] I have three of these towers out of my 7 computers and will get more as I fill up of the old ones and need more space. Love the room in this thing. It accepts server sized mobos (E-ATX) 13x10 just fine. Wonderful for water cooling and much, MUCH quieter than the fans of my smaller boxes
