Doesn't work in my Tomtom One [Posted on 2007-01-11]
I have a Tomtom One that I bought and used without any problems in the UK.
When I inserted the USA & Canada map SD card I got an error messsage
on the display. Sent it back to Amazon and got a full refund.

Wrong product description [Posted on 2007-02-12]
I bought this product, because it said in the description "multiplatform use with any tomtom gps" but in fact it's not working for tomtom navigator. Furthermore, the announced medium was DVD and what arrived was in fact an SD card with the data. So not usable for me and I returned it.

For a PDA [Posted on 2007-07-31]
I already wrote a review on TomTom 6 Navigator, which is a product for PDA's (like my Treo 700p). I felt compelled to write this review because the two other 1 star reviews were from people that bought it for the wrong product which isn't really fair to do to the manufacturer. This card works terrifically and has proven to be a more accurate map than the ones that came with my 07 Acura and 06 BMW Navigation systems (I bought it for use in rental cars). So, if you have a PDA that loads Navigator 6 and takes an SD card, this is the item for you and it's awesome! (Read my review of the Navigator 6 for more info).

Useful - but keep your paper map! [Posted on 2007-09-03]
We used this for the first time on a scenic drive through the mountains of Colorado and Utah. At first, the TomTom had an alarming tendency to bark instructions to leave the main road, and follow dirt tracks that looked as though they would need a 4WD. Since it came without any instructions, it took us some time to work out that it has no knowledge about heights of mountain ranges, and was sending us over them instead of round them.
Also, it was sometimes difficult to pinpoint addresses of motels on long highways. You have to have a specific street address (zip codes won't do), and not all streets showed up.
All was forgiven at the end though, when it navigated us faultlessly to the airport car rental desk at Denver, showing us a back way that ignored all the signs and got us there in good time. The information about which lane to take was very useful, and obviously couldn't be found on a paper map.

Unfortunately I was unable to use the item as it did not work in my TomTom One XL unit. TomTom customer service was contacted and I received the advice, that they do not produce SD chips for the US ans Canada.
