My son is 4 and a half and he will sit for hours playing this. Yes, at first it was a little hard to move the trucks, but once I figured it out (took about 3 minutes) and showed him, he loved it. It has tons of choices. You can choose from lots of trucks and rescue missions. You can do the same mission ten times, but by changing the vehicle, it seems like a new game every time. I disagree with the harsh reviews this game has received. Kids are different though, and what works for mine, may not work for theirs. All I can say is that my son thinks that this is the "best game ever and ever"!

This software from Hasbro is great for children 4 and up. Our grandson spent hours playing with this...All of the animation is super and keeps children interested. Our grandson loved printing from the game and going from location to location. Hasbro and Tonka have some of the best items on the market.

Hard to navigate vehicles [Posted on 2003-10-21]
Tonka has a great idea for kid's software, problem is it is very difficult to line up the vehicles. The cursor jumps the vehicle so you need to go back and forth several times to line up correctly. My three year old doesn't know there is a fault in the software so he blames himself for not being able to do it. I highly recommend Dinosaur 3-D and any of the Disney Activity Centers.

Hand Eye Co-ordination Builder [Posted on 2004-04-22]
This is a very exciting action heros game that teachs a little bit about different action heros such as firemen, policemen, water rescue etc... Actually it doesn't teach a great deal about these things but it is a very exciting game with lots of vehicles and adventure. Everything your average boy and tomboy girl love!
It was hard to navigate the trucks at first and to figure out where on the screen to click to get the helicopter to unload the children etc... BUT my son who at first needed a lot of help was able to figure out all the kinks in the game witin a couple of weeks and preceeded to go through all the levels and win all 12 medals though he is only 4.
I like how there is nothing violent or scary and it's all cute.
"Tonka Joe" keeps praising the childs efforts in a warm way leading my son to say happily
"I think that man likes me."

My son's mouse control has become excellent as a result of playing this game.
