So far so good [Posted on 2008-05-09] What's not to like about this little external hard drive? It's small, sleek, silent, and it never gets hot. I've owned this product for a little over a month and I've only come across one issue, though it doesn't seem to be a problem. Every time I plug the hard drive in, my computer tells me that the drive's power requirements exceed what my usb slots can pump out. I don't know if it's because my computer is always plugged into the charger or if it's simply a technicality with drive, but it's still completely functional. No problems so far. So far so good.
Good for both PC and Mac [Posted on 2008-06-10] I usually switch data from Mac and PC in great deal, and need to have something working on both system. From the product review, I found this item.
The drive has been with me for more than two month now, and it worked pretty good. By the way, it is very strong which is good for traveller like me
So bad! [Posted on 2008-06-24] I ordered this product in April. I have not received it until June! There was some problem with the delivery. However, no one wants to be responsible for it! So bad!
Is it supposed to make noise? [Posted on 2008-06-30] Every so often it makes a loud sound - click, click, click. If I detach and reattach the USB cord, the noise will go away. I have no idea if it's working.
Very good BUT ... [Posted on 2008-07-01] I use the device with my desk- and laptop and it works very well. However, I originally bought it to hold my mp3s and connect to the car stereo. AFTER the fact, when that didn't work, and I contacted Toshiba Service (which got back to me in a couple hours), I discovered when they told me:
"The Toshiba External Hard drive is only compatible with windows 2000, Xp,
Vista and Mac Os." So, use it with confidence inside connected to your computer, but don't expect it to interface with the USB port on your car stereo.
