mindless, but good mindless [Posted on 2004-05-10] My kids have spent many many hours playing on this program. OK, it has no redeeming value educationally whatsoever, but what the heck. I prefer them to be engaged rather than passively sitting in front of the TV. There are a variety of games, they are easily understood, and visually striking. And now that it is at reduced price, it is a great deal. Recommended.
Classic Activity Center Game [Posted on 2006-11-23] I still play this game. It never gets old. I played this game when I was like in Pre school and love it.
Quirky installation, requires continual reinstall [Posted on 2007-06-11] My kid loves this game, but I am constantly having to struggle with it, reinstalling, getting strange errors like 'call to undefined dynalink'. Frequently it simply does not start up and I have to uninstall and reinstall it. No support whatsover. No patches to fix the lousy interaction this program has with the operating system. You must reinstall quicktime each time you install it, even if you have a later version installed already. Fun software when it works. but it usually doesn't.
seizure [Posted on 2007-08-04] I purchased this game and wanted to give a warning to parents. It may have caused my daughter to have a seizure. There is a game where you can draw pictures using dots. Those dots can be animated to blink/flash and change colors very quickly. My daughter who has never had any medical problems played this game and went in to a seizure. This is the only thing that we can think of that could have caused it since ALL of her tests came back normal and that is what she was doing when the seizure happened. With all of the other games out on the market I would pass this one by and pick something else.
