I searched extensively for a hard drive that no one had had a problem with and did not find any. I decided to try something I had never heard of before. The Trekstor external drive works right out of the box and was immediately recognized by my computer. I have only had it for 2 hours so if anything goes wrong, I will be back here but so far, I am very happy with it.

I'm very pleased with this external hard drive. The aluminum case seems well made. The drive is fast, is very quiet, and doesn't seem to get very hot.
I'd buy it again.
