This handset is NOT compatible with the DCT 640 series, as Amazon's title claims. Very frustrating.

It works with the base model DCT 7488. Easy to setup/register to base.

This product is as stated an additional handset for my phone system and works as well as the handset that originally came with my system. The only problem I have with the Uniden system in general is that some people I talk to say the unit is a little tinny.
