Unlistenable sound quality [Posted on 2008-03-23] I needed 2 cordless phones so I bought 2 of these on sale for $10 each. They are unusably bad- when you talk the sound of your voice comes back in the speaker at twice the volume of the person you are speaking to. There's no way to fix them. I had to throw them away; don't make the same mistake!
If only we could use ZERO stars! [Posted on 2008-04-20] We have NEVER owned a worse phone. Static, 20-30' range (if lucky), poor battery life and aweful technical support. I didn't expect much given the price, but this phone is terrible! When I called Uniden regarding the poor reception, they simply blamed it on our environment and the location in the house. Funny, we have used a Motorola 900MHz phone and Plantronics wireless headset (I beleive it using a frequency within the 400Mhz range) and we have never had any problems. We will not purchase any Uniden product again.
Uniden EXI5660 [Posted on 2008-05-20] Like these phones, have five of them, never any reception problems and no interference with internet. No problems after a year of use, and haven't had to buy any batteries yet.
If only I could give it less than 1. [Posted on 2008-06-05] I hate this product. It sucks big time. i cannot even begin to explain. All the things pple said and more. It drops your call all the time despite it is 5.8GHz. I haaaaaaaaaaatttttttttteeeeeeee this phone. I regret ever buying it.
This phone is a joke. [Posted on 2008-07-24] I got this extra base and phone with the purchase of the Uniden 5.8 GHz w/ a digital answering machine and caller ID. The battery life on this model is a joke. You leave it off the base for a couple days and it's dead, even if you haven't used it. I've owned Uniden in the past and had a great experience. That phone wasn't constanly dying on me. And don't get me started on the static you get with this handset when you go into another room. Spend the extra money and get a better model!
