We ordered this phone to replace our 2.4 GHz phone that was getting interference from our wireless router, which is also on the 2.4 GHz frequency. This phone looks good, is easy to set up and is very clear! The features are abundant! My husband has some hearing loss, but can hear with this phone. This is a first for him! This is the best phone that we have ever purchased! We love the 3 extra handsets. We both can have our own handset and leave one in the bedroom for a night emergency. I would recommend this product to anyone, whether or not you have a wireless router! Great price, too! January 5, 2008 Update: We still love this phone system! We have not had any problem with reception in our 2700 sq. ft. home. We can use a handset as far away as the attached garage, which is on the opposite end of the house from where the base is. That is about 80+ ft. People tell us that we sound very clear, and they sound clear to us as well. We love the fact that they use AA batteries, which are better than a battery pack. So far, no problems with these phones whatsoever!

This is just what we've been looking for: A cordless/corded set with clear sound. We've had ours for about three weeks and have nothing but praise so far. Other reviewers have gone into great detail about the features, so I won't repeat those things. I saw one review which said that this set does not work on a multilevel home. That has not been our experience. We keep one cordless in the basement and have had no problems at all.

This is the greatest combination cordless/corded phone I have had. (and I have had many) I like to be able to get different rings on each handset and it is easy to set up & program.

Great Phone But My Phone Directory Doesn't Work! [Posted on 2008-03-08]
I just bought this phone system off Amazon and have been happy with it EXCEPT for ONE THING.

The names stored in my Phone Book do not show up when these people/numbers call me. They just appear as numbers based on my Caller ID service and is pretty difficult to see who is calling you since their names as stored in the phone book is not displayed.

Here are my facts:

*I am using it in the Philippines.
*I have subscription for Caller ID service.
*My local area code is "2".
*I store numbers in my phone book using the normal seven digits - i.e. my mom's phone number 713-1236 is stored as 713-1236 in the phone book.
*When my Mom calls me, the phone just reflects "27131236" and not "Mommy" as stored in my Phonebook with her phone number.

I have tried playing around with the Area Code entry in the Global Set-up menu and have tried several ways of saving the Phone Numbers in my Phone Book to include the Local Area Code but I just can't have this phone display the Names as stored in the phone book.

Can anybody please help?

I tried calling Uniden Customer Service and they do not have a solution as well...
