Great product [Posted on 2008-03-19] This is a great product. I have since ordered a second TV Listener. I am "age" hearing impared--moderate--and was having difficulty understanding some programing. Especially DVDs. This has solved that problem! I just plugged it in to the audio outputs on my LDC TV, put on the ear phones and it worked great. I highly recommend it. I had none of the problems some people seem to have had with things like feedback, picking up ambient sound (which might be more of a problem if you cannot access audio output directly and have to use the small microphone also included with the product. But I did try the microphone hook-up also, that too seemed to work fine with my set.) I do not remove my hearing aids when I use this product, and very seldom get the irritating feedback whistle that often comes from hearing aids.
I highly recommend this product for those who like me need hearing assistance. (It's also great when Either my wife or I want to read instead of watching TV. You can just turn down or even mute the TV and the wearer of the ear phones is the only one who can hear the TV.)
Wonderful product!! [Posted on 2008-07-29] I bought this product in January 2008 after reading the online reviews and I absolutely love it!! My husband is thrilled that I'm now watching TV with him again instead of retreating to the study to read, catch up on email, etc. I recently had my 84 yr old mother stay with us for a few weeks. She wears two hi-tech hearing aids that can't be very effective as she continues to blast the TV. When I placed the headphones on her head, her eyes lit up and she said, "Where did you get these? They're wonderful!" I'm now ordering her a set so that she too can enjoy TV.
awful reception, virtually useless [Posted on 2008-09-04] the headline says it all, very poor quality, terrible sound unless you like listening to electrical interference and the like.
wireless headphone [Posted on 2008-09-08] Just the best for the price, great for someone with a hearing problem! Can't do without one, easy to control and most of all very clear.
Incomplete description [Posted on 2008-10-02] This product was unusable for me. The incomplete and inadequate description omitted important information which made it, literally, unusable for me. It's been two weeks since I sent it back (carefully following directions) but have yet to receive an acknowledgement of any kind from the seller.
This was a very bad experience in all respects, and a cautionary experience about buying on-line, I am sorry to say.
PS - I tried to give this 'no stars' but evidently that's not an option.
