My toddler's day care center has this toy. It holds the attention of toddlers from 1.5 yr to 2 yr. One smart thing about this toy is that the shapes are attached to the toy, so you won't lose any shape pieces. This is a big plus. I have three different kinds of shape sorters at home. All of them have missing pieces! The older toddlers seem to have no problem inserting the shapes. It is actually a good tool to train the kid's fine motor skills. This is not an easy toy for infants, but great for toddlers.

This is by far the most annoying toy that my son has. The same shape sorting song plays endlessly in every mode. The shapes are attached to coils that are too short. The shapes don't easily stick into their appropriate slots and if by chance you get a couple shapes into the slots they get pushed out with an equally annoying and incessant "WHOOPS!" if the toy is moved, a button is pressed of the string is pulled. This toy causes aggravation for my son as well as for us.

I'm considering throwing it away.

Terrible and annoying, plus strangle hazard [Posted on 2008-05-06]
Briefly, the toy is INCREDIBLY annoying, difficult for anyone to use (much less a small child!), and the long string for pulling it was very tempting for my 14-month-old daughter to try to put around her neck and pull on. This is the worst toy we have, and an incredibly poor design.

As many other reviewers stated, this toy is incredibly annoying. The WHOOPS and awful loud staticky intro song seem to play constantly and have to play all the way through before you can do anything else. And then they are triggered again very easily.

The supposed sorting and "follow the leader" games don't work well.
Add to that it doesn't pull easily, and the string presents a safety/strangulation hazard, and it is the worst toy I've seen.

The only good thing I can say about it is that it seems durable. Which in this case is unfortunate.

This toy is cute looking but the sounds and interaction are annoying. The little intro song is a little creepy sounding and not fully understandable, and you have to listen to the entire thing before you can play with the toy. The shapes are difficult to "sort" onto the body of the toy as well, because they have to lock into place, and the strings attached are a little tight. In addition, the pull string is a little long which may scare some parents away.

My son, nearly 3, loves this toy and pulls it around the house with him all the time. He likes the 'annoying song' (what kids toys dont have annoying repetative songs?). Maybe its because he has asperger's syndrome, and is fascinated by anything with letters or numbers, but this is one of his favorite toys. Most of his friends that come over to play, end up playing with it for awhile also. I don't think the string is too long at all either-more so, I think it may be a little bit short-but I guess that is for safety reasons. Overall its a good toy, I would buy it again.
