Fun for hours! [Posted on 2007-12-03] My son LOVES this toy and plays with the sun part over and over again all day long. The songs that it plays when the sun is touched are very sweet. This toy is great cause it has a lot of different activities, is not too loud and offers cute enjoyment. I'd buy it as a gift for others.
Good Buy [Posted on 2007-12-13] I bought this for my 9 month old son. He really enjoys the page that he can flip. In fact, right now that's what he is most interested in. It's kinda funny that with all the other features all he does is flip this page back and forth. Can get kinda irritating because it starts singing one song then when he flips the page it starts the next song. I hear the first few words from each song.
This is a very durable toy. My son is always banging it, flipping it, and pushes it into things. I would recommend this toy because it does offer a lot. It sings nursery rhymes, teaches numbers/colors, has multiple farm animals which make noises and also describes them, it also has other songs throughout the toy. I personally get a kick how during 'Mary had a Little Lamb', if you push an animal it starts doing the song in that animal's sound. It's too cute.
The only negative thing I have to say about this toy is that the person's voice they used is very nerdish sounding and irritating. They could've found a more suitable voice.
From infant to toddler [Posted on 2008-02-24] This is an excellent toy that will last from infancy to toddlerhood. My daughter has been playing with this since before she could walk and is just as interested now as a two-year-old as she was then. Infants find stimulation in the music, bright colors, and animal sounds. As a toddler, my daughter has taken interest in learning the colors, letters, and animal names. Many people are familiar with LeapFrog products but VTech has some winners, particularly this Nursery Farm.
Not a great toy, but not bad either [Posted on 2008-08-01] My 14 month old enjoys this toy. It doesn't keep her attention for TOO long, but when she does sit and play with it, she really enjoys it. She loves flipping the book pages and pushing the little sheep down. My only gripe about this toy is it's so loud. Even on the lowest sound setting, it's still pretty loud. And it's one of those toys that don't "shut up". It'll play a song, stop, then play again, then stop. We end up just turning the darn thing off. But when she plays with it, she likes it :o)
Baby LOVES it, but it is SOOOOOO ANNOYING [Posted on 2008-11-01] First let me start off....my baby never got his finger stuck and looking at the toy, I don't really see how he could. Maybe the design changed.
My son loves this toy. It sings songs, teaches colors, animal sounds, animals, numbers, and acts like a piano too.
The bad thing. It is SO ANNOYING!!! I am VERY tolerant of my toy noises, but this toy is SO LOUD (even on the quiet setting) and the voices are SO annoying. And if baby keeps pushing buttons it will interupt itself and respond to the button most recently pushed. So it will start to say "blue liek the pond", but mid sentense it will stop and say "oink oink I like mud".
I still let my son play with this toy and I have the music on. THere are just some days when I have had EENOUGH and the toy disappears for awhile.
THis would be a great toy to leave at the IN LAWS house if you don't liek them. it will annoy anybody!
