This drive came today wrapped in bubble wrap and looking like an OEM resale item. I checked the warranty online with WD and it's good, thank goodness, or I'd have really raised heck.
Anyone looking for a REAL, FULL RETAIL BOXED version should shy away from Electronics Direct. Learn from my mistake.
Heck, for an unboxed version I could have saved another 40.00 and gone elsewhere.
Works Great as a DVR Hard Drive Extender [Posted on 2008-08-21]
I chose this hard drive to go in an Antec MX-1 Hard Drive enclosure (which included the eSata cable)for a DVR hard drive extender. Installation was easy.
