though beautifully designed and absolutely perfect in everywhere except the most important: information retrieval.

I have a 120 drive that has been fine so I wasn't expecting the large drive to fail right out of the box. The customer service was wonderful and they immediately took it back.

It sounded like it was working really hard to try to retrieve the info and would get super hot. Hope they work out the bugs or that was just a one off because it was exactly what I was looking for even down to the color. I had really hoped I had found a large file storage capacity in a little itty bitty metalic pink box. Well not yet but maybe soon.

This worked great for me right away. Just plugged it into my USB and was able to back up all my files. I have also used to to transfer large files from one computer to another and had no problems. I kind of like the new design a bit better but for the price this one works just fine, had the same amount of storage space and looks great too.

Its exactly what it stated. I love this hard drive. Its perfect for my music and video collection on the go. Small and light weight. Perfect for traveling

I now have four WD passport drives and one Seagate FreeAgent Go. These are great for holding alot of information in a small footprint. I even bought two of them for the sole purpose of holding data to be stored in our bank safe deposit box. I do encrypt them with TrueCrypt (freeware) in the event they get lost or stolen.
