Ordered this for my boyfriend because he loves popcorn. Much better than the microwavable stuff. Fairly easy to use and clean up. Pop's about 80% of the kernels as long as you don't overfill it. You may want to order the kernels and flavors online because most stores just don't have a selection at all. Very satisfied.

I used the standard popcorn you buy in the grocery store. Followed the instructions--1 T. oil, plus 1/4 cup Orville Reddenbacher's gourmet popcorn, plus 1 T. margarine on top. I've made about 6 batches and all taste the same: chewy, not fresh and light. So if anyone knows a popper that makes fresh and light, I sure would like to know.

I had a friend with a popcorn maker like this whom makes the best popcorn ever so we asked for one when we got married. WE LOVE IT!!!! It's great for movie night at home or our EMS/Fire Stations!!! You don't have to buy Brand Name ingredients either, we buy store brand & it's still great. The ulitimate gift for a popcorn lover!!!

This was a very cool popcorn popper; unfortunately within 6 months it quit working. Luckily I found my receipt and got a new one under warranty. Once again, after several months of use it quit on me! Too bad since I hadn't used it for a while before that, more than a year had passed so it was too late to replace it again. I'm probably not going to purchase another one.
