Great Buy! [Posted on 2008-08-30] I bought this because I needed space for my media and backups, this box works great! The price was good, also.
Excellent drive at (now) an excellent price [Posted on 2008-08-30] picked this up from staples for 119.99 and it came to $130 after taxes, free shipping.
i transferred 400 gigs over to it when i first got it. the drive is nice, compact, well air'd body so the drive itself doesnt get too hot. all in all, nicely designed.
this is my 1st external drive. i never wanted one at the costs they were when they first came out. finally now you can have terabytes of storage for a few hundred bucks.
so this 750gb drive cost me $130 (after taxes). so you can literally buy 2 drives for $260 and have 1.5 terabytes of storage. you can finally download the internet and save it. ;-D
Good deal for the buck [Posted on 2008-09-02] This product works fine for me (Windows Vista) I have it for 2 months now.
There is nothing special about it. I simply use it for storage and it does a pretty good job. I can not provide number but compare with other products I used I can say it has a good reading speed and an average writing speed. I haven't noticed any inconvenience with the cooling or the noise..
Go for it. Try to handle it gentle (like any other hard drive)
Had two fail [Posted on 2008-09-10] I bought two of these, one for Projects and one as backup. They both crashed in the same month. Not good for the Pro video world.
