IT STINKS BIG TIME ! [Posted on 2008-05-20]
Did you ever receive (e.g. in a goodybag for kids) one of cheapest Chinese all-plastic toys and noticed it's characteristic smell of lowest quality plastic? Now imagine a square yard of same quality plastic! I almost fainted the first time I just opened the box. And I'm the one in family that is most tolerable to the smell. I had to keep it in garage for 3 days before I could even try it. And after I tried it (for 10 minutes), my whole room was stinking for hours after (with all windows open). And, the best thing was, it did not even work.
I had the original mat that came with the game, and after this experience I bought another one from direct from Konami (a little more expensive). Don't take me wrong, for both of those if you put your nose right next to it and smell it, you can faintly smell the similar plastic smell. But the one we are talking about here, you could smell it from 100 yards away.

I bought this mat after buying Hottest Party DDR so that we would have a second mat for two-player fun. And just plain English its beautiful I love it. It's lots of fun and good quality thank you so much.

The kids tell me that it works okay, but the one that comes with the game has a better feel. This one slips a bit more around on the carpet.

This mat moves around while you are dancing and it doesnt lie flat.

Stinky chemical odor strong enough to give you a migraine [Posted on 2008-07-22]
I purchased 3 of these a month ago and still haven't used them. As soon as I opened the box, I was knocked out by the fumes so I quickly took them out to the garage to prevent my 2 babies from breathing the fumes. Today I finally decided to bring them inside even though there was still a lingering odor. Upon unfolding them, I was again knocked out by the fumes. So they are back in the garage unfolded. Hopefully I can try them out soon.
