Did What It was Supposed to Do [Posted on 2008-06-28]
Bought this Intel card to replace the one in our Vista/Ubuntu Acer 5920 Centrino notebook. I gave my dad the original card so that his HP would "just work" with Ubuntu.
Wasn't sure what we'd get, but the card came in an Intel box, with Intel driver CD, Intel directions, and a handy little Intel plastic "wallet" that protects the card.
My dad's HP came with an Atheros 5007. Once we replaced it with the Intel, he got a stronger signal and the connection seemed noticeably faster.

Works in Dell XPS M1730 [Posted on 2008-07-07]
This was a very easy install and the card works perfectly. Just remove the previous card and insert this one and attach the third cable that is already in the notebook to the center connector and after the restart Windows detected and installed the network card without asking for anything. Resetup the Wireless SSID Network Profile and everything started working agian. I have a Dell XPS M1730.

I see there are people that have problems with IBM/HP just keep in mind that HP and IBM are now restricting the upgrade of the Wireless cards VIA the BIOS. You must purchase a HP or IBM bios enabled Intel Wireless card. Search on EBAY for more information it is a common problem now.

Easy N-draft upgrade [Posted on 2008-07-08]
I recently upgraded to an N-draft wireless router. Unfortunately my HP 2710p tablet notebook came equipped with a G wireless card. The new N-Draft provides 2x's the wireless speed over G.
Rather than purchase an external wireless network card for my HP2710p tablet notebook, I simply ordered the Intel wireless WifI mini card, carefully opened my the bottom cover of the 2710p, removed (2 screws and two push on wires) the old wifi card and installed the new card. I then went to the HP site and downloaded the current Intel wifi drivers. I selected the Intel card because it is approved by HP so the 2701p's BIOS would recognize it. This is very important.
Easy upgrade, if you're comfortable taking things apart, for about 1/2 the price of an external wifi adapter. I like the built in design.

Thanks to provider.
I'm happy to get the product. I installed it in a Dell Vostro 1500 Laptop computer.

Perfect [Posted on 2008-09-25]
Replaced an Intel wireless G wifi card in my Dell D630 that had a weak signal. Wife's wireless G card worked fine. After the swap, I didn't even have to reload drivers - the card just worked. Fixed the wireless G problem I was having instantly. Haven't tried wireless N mode yet as I don't have a wireless N router.
