The best. [Posted on 2006-10-28] I bought this mouse out of curiosity. It is the most comfortable mouse I've ever experienced. You need to get used to the pen style mouse at first, but once you get used to it, it is very comfortable to use.
Pen Mouse [Posted on 2007-01-08] I bought this mouse the other day and reallllly enjoy it - I use it with my laptop and generally don't like to use a mouse b/c I hate connecting it and disconnecting it, and having to find a mouse pad - but with this mouse I don't have to worry about finding a mouse pad at all...I can use it on my pants or even the laptop itself and it responds really well, as for plugging and unplugging it, I don't mind doing that since I don't have to bring a mouse pad. The only drawback is that it is wired (yes this model, even though it says it's wireless...it's not) but it's not a nuisance, plus I really feel like my hands are a lot less cramped using this mouse then a small travel mouse or even the mouse pad, it's really great!
Best ergonomic mouse I've ever used! [Posted on 2007-08-10] I have RSI in my right wrist. I work for a software company and also play a computer game extensively when I get home, so I often wind up spending over 14 hours a day at the computer. I've gone through a lot of ergonomic mouses (3M, Zero Tension, Logitech ergo gaming mouse, etc) and nothing comes remotely close to this Wow Pen mouse.
The thing you need to know is that the photo doesn't do it justice. The thing is TINY. It's barely 4 inches tall, and only two inches wide. It's also really lightweight... it basically feels like a feather-light wide-barrelled pen... with a stable base so it stands on its own. It's so easy to work with, and the clicks still feel substantial enough that it doesn't feel like a toy.
If you're considering purchasing a lightweight ergo mouse, you MUST give this one a try. It's unlike any other you'll try. A huge thumbs up from me. Your wrist will thank you.
Decent alternate for a mouse, but not a substitute. [Posted on 2008-04-27] This device works and it works fairly well. While using it I didn't get any pain in my wrist, which is what I bought it for. Then why am I rating it a meager 3 stars?
The problem is that it has some basic issues that make it somewhat annoying.
1. It's really small. I would consider my hands of average size and I had a hard time holding it properly. When using it I found it awkward to work the scroll wheel and my fingers cramped after using it for anything over an hour. I ended up switching to my left hand and found the scroll wheel easier to operate, but the cramps didn't go away after prolonged use.
2. It's not as precise as an actual mouse. This device really needs to be weighted down so its more stable. It'll make it easier to use.
3. It's not wireless. The wire drags, and if you're used to a wireless mouse, you'll find it hard to adapt.
My advice is that if you have large hands avoid this device. If you don't have that problem consider how much precision you need from a mouse. If precision and accuracy are important then go for a pen and tablet instead. If you're just a casual computer user trying to avoid pain in your wrist than go ahead and get one. Hopefully the company that makes these will release an improved version. This product has potential.
