Anti Virus subscription is only 6 months [Posted on 2006-06-10]
Product seems to work good except: 1) tells me I am not registered, yet I am and all functionality works. 2) No email support. 3) Initial antivius subscription is only for 6 months. Clicking on the renew button takes you to a "The page cannot be displayed" page. On the website, renewing is $34.95/year.

No Support for spyware..maybe more [Posted on 2006-08-29]
After installing Webroot Spy Sweeper, 4 spyware programs were indentified. When a request was made to Zone Labs for assistance in the removal of these items, they would only refer me to Webroot and would not assist me because ZoneAlarm did not recognize the spyware at all.

The firewall is great.

the AV and Spyware plugins are just that, if ZoneAlarm didn't load nether did the AV. Very uncool. Also AV is a CA product Boo Boo. Don't trust CA as far as you can throw your car.

I do think it has growth, would love to see them get another AV company as their backed and to make the AV a stand-alone process, that loads with out ZA needing to be loaded.

After years of using two of the most popular antivirus/firewall products, I read a review in Consumer Reports. Based on the information I switched to Zone Alarm antivirus/firewall. I am very pleased with the results. It is easy to use, very robust, offers outstanding protection, less expensive and more efficient. It does not slow down my computer as much as the other products I've used. Thank you Zone Alarms, for a superb product!
