Easy to use, very good quality - all in all, exactly what I needed to record band rehearsals and even gigs when a multi-track recorder is unavailable or unwieldy. Great price, too.
I don't use the metronome or built-in tuner, but those are just extras on top of the great MP3/WAV recorder.

I am a classical musician and I was really impressed with the sound quality of the Zoom. You can set the levels so you don't get feed back or that annoying buzzy sound that always happens when I have tried to record my Horn playing on cheaper recorders. It's also easy to transfer onto i-tunes! I'm still exploring all the options but so far I am very happy! Beware though: If you are planning on recording right away also get a big sound card, the company provides one but it doesn't have much memory on there.

You can hold this recorder in your hand, mount is on a mic stand (adapter included), or set it on a table (stand included). The sound is quality and tracks are easy to upload to your computer as stereo 2 track. If you record in surround sound you get (f) front and (r) sound which must stay together. When I upload them in Vista it doesn't want to treat them as a single pair. It wants to seperate them. But then again I have the 2006 version of Vista and we all know what a nightmare it's been. Push record button and start talking, singing, playing an instrument or whatever. Look at the screen and see your levels. Push the record button one more time and start recording. It's that easy, really! ALSO, if you could add a little reverb to the voice you could make a good little music master - really! Buy this, you won't be disapointed.

I've owned various digital recorders through the years to do field recording for our morning show but the H2 is probably the most versatile. And it does exactly what it claims it will do and gives you great audio to boot. After you get used to the quirky interface you can pretty much use this thing to record almost any thing. The built in mics are very well engineered and reproduce voice and music very well. And it connects to my Mac's without a hitch. And you can't beat the value for the price. Invest in a few extra rechargeable batteries and extra memory card or two for those extra long sessions.

The H2 comes with EVERYTHING you'll need including a cute little wind sock for use on those windy days.

We used this for piano practice, recording the lessons and then downloading it on MP3 players, so you can listen to it.

Learning lines for a play... you can put a break in wherever you want...easy to skip to the relevant section.

The first time it took some time to get used to the download protocol, but once you know what to do it is easy. Works with both Apple and PC and my children (11 and 10) can work it too.

It took me by surprise how light it was, but so far (almost 1 year) it is still working.
