MS ruined it [Posted on 2007-04-28] This was a great product until MS bought the company and started writing code for it. Now it crashes and freezes up. Finally i took it off of my computer as it messed that up. I switched to Adobe Lightroom.
Buy the original before it runs out of stock!!! [Posted on 2007-06-13] As other reviewers have noted, iView Media became the property of goliath M$oft a year(2006) ago. M$ renamed this Expression Media which they just recently released as of June 1, 2007. As with any other software, primarily O/S, (Windows 2.0, Windows98, WindowsME, Windows2000, and now Vista, etc., etc.) anything M$ touches crashes, are full of bugs, memory hogs, patch updates every week, fancy GUI's but no substance, s/w codes get hacked then viruses are introduced, etc. In short, too many problems to list. Stick with Adobe Lightroom and Photoshop or Extensis Portfolio or some other imaging software not touch by M$ if you cannot obtain this last great version of iView MediaPro Version 3.
Good software that needs work [Posted on 2007-06-26] The concept of this software is very good. If you are using raw files or DNG files it works fine. A major flaw in my opinion is that it will not import large JPEG or Tiff files into its Library. It crashes. For me this makes the software useless. I am not able to use this in my workflow until the problem is fixed. So right now the program goes unused.

Bad Program! [Posted on 2007-10-30] Downloaded the trial version and installed it on a high-end ACER Core-2-Quad, 4 gigs RAM, 512MB video card, etc. I have lots of software installed and this is the first program, on this computer, that failed to work properly.
After installation and dumping my photo files into it, it never could do all the thumbnails for my photos, maybe 70% of them, the rest never filled-in. Then while trying to simply execute a thumbnail, the entire program froze.
Restarted computer, same problem again. I uninstalled it immediately. I wouldn't even consider using this program if it were "Freeware." And it ain't Freeware!
Another winner from Microsoft! Highly recommend that you do not even waste your time downloading the trial version. Look at Adobe Lightroom.
Please Microsoft, don't screw it up! [Posted on 2007-11-10] iView MediaPro is the favorite media organizer I have used. Better than Adobe Lightroom or iPhoto. It has a very "user friendly" interface and the ability to update folders automatically is terrific. But, it was recently purchased by Microsoft, and I just hope they don't "Microsoft" it too much.
